Hey there!
Hi, I’m Schentel, a mom of one currently trying for our second. In 2016 my husband and I started TTC our first child. Due to complications, we lost our daughter Aryiah at 23 weeks. 2017 we tried again and lost our son Talon at 24 weeks to similar issues. 2018 we decided we were ready to try again, we saw a High-Risk OBGYN on top of our regular OBGYN and I began Lovenox (blood thinner) injections 2X daily. At 27 weeks I began experiencing Preeclampsia symptoms and unbearable pain in my side. My husband and I rushed to the hospital only to find out I had HELLP Syndrome. Due to the stress it placed on the baby I went in for an emergency c-section at 7am the next morning because our son’s heart had stopped. Jace had to be resuscitated and was immediately transferred to the NICU. 1lb 14oz and 13in long our rainbow baby, our miracle, our blessing. Fast forward to 2023 our son was now 5 and we felt we were ready to try for our second. In the time between 2023 to May 2025 we had 8 miscarriages and realized this time around would be even more difficult as my body couldn’t’ even make it to 10 weeks. I started paying attention to my body and researching everything I had gone through looking for answers. Now here we are a couple months later, I made this blog to share what I am going through and spread my hope as my husband, and I navigate through another journey of TTC. I will share appointments, experiences and info throughout this pregnancy in hopes I can help anyone else struggling on their TTC journey. Thanks for visiting, it means so much!
